We will present a brief history of written communication including cave drawings, picture writing, Gutenberg's printing press, computers, and the latest electronic book, the kindle. We will also be bringing our equipment for printing, cutting, and binding books. We are not selling anything!!! Our main focus is to encourage students to become more involved in all aspects of reading by engaging them in the process of creating books. We will also be demonstrating our web site where you can download, ready to print, over 20,000 books at absolutely no cost. We will also be showing how to access over 20,000 out of copyright books, free, and ready to print thru the COSL website.
