Plone Add-on Products

last modified 2008-05-28 10:05

These Plone products were originally developed for use with eduCommons, but are now available as stand alone products for others to reuse.

Content Licensing

The Content Licensing Tool is used to manage copyright licenses within Plone. It allows for both a site wide copyright license to be set by default, and the ability to set licenses on individual objects. It supports a number of licenses including all rights reserved, GFDL, and Creative Commons (with an integrated license picker). You can also enter and select licenses not supported by default, or configure new licenses that will appear in the selection widget for your Plone instance.

IMS Transport

The IMS Transport Tool allows Plone users to upload content in the form of an IMS package. Although preliminary support is included for popular proprietary learning management system packages, support for extending this product to handle the import or export of any IMS package is also included.

PloneBookmarklets

The PloneBookmarklets Tool installs an 'Add Bookmarklet' document_action to your Plone site. It's commonly used to bookmark content on popular sites like del.icio.us, digg, etc. These bookmarklets are typically used in blogs but can be used for bookmarking any kind of content.

ZipFileTransport

The ZipFileTransport Tool is used to import and export zip files.
